
All you had to do is take a look at the photo below. This was taken at a Cross Country Challenge meeting in Birmingham. Now apparently, this course encompasses some boggy ground along which even the finest runners come unstuck. This photograph proves to be conclusive evidence.
The winners have now been selected. I must say the standard of entries was excellent and, quite frankly, any of them could have won. After considerable thought, it's congratulations to John Robertson who wins a £10 voucher for Athelite in the village, plus a belated Easter egg, for the following caption:-
"the buffet is now open!"
Second prize is awarded to Keith Stoddart who receives a Cadburys Mini Easter egg for this effort:-
"I used to throw bread to the ducks, but half cheeseburgers to the runners is much more fun."
