Very best though was Gothenburg Half Marathon in 2004. Lovely city, 30,000+runners,thousands watching-best ever all round athletics experience (wiping tears at the memory)
Typical training week = This winter has been something like this:-
Sun-90 mins approx easy,Mon-track,various tortures,Tue- 6-7 miles easy,  rest if over tired,Wed-hills,Thu 6-7 miles steady,Fri-rest,Sat-race or 5-10 miles steady, distance depends how feeling
In summer, usually extra track session on Thu instead and steady run on Wed rather than hills
Funniest moment in athletics = Team manager soakings-Joan Boyd in 2000,Mike Smith in 2004,Janice Mackie and Keith Stoddart in 2005,Richard Douglas in 2006.
Alan Potts inflicting a rare defeat on Allan Scott in an under 15 long jump
Best thing about Whitemoss = Feeling of togetherness which has been there no matter who is involved. Young athletes cheer older ones and vice versa. In my view, few Scottish athletics clubs can match this. Plus the amount of accolades the club has gained given it was 2000 before it won its first trophy (Scottish and North West League Division 2 championship)
Anything about the club you would change = A wage for the webmaster!
Seriously, see more parents help.Whitemoss has always been run by volunteers and we have lost a few.More needed to avoid unthinkable.
Also see more athletes enter champs and/or at least open grades outwith league comps.Without competing, training is pointless.I'd like to see more with chests out, heads up and having a go.What's to lose?If fear of being last was a reason not to compete, I'd have given up long ago.
