Valentines Competition Result
You will remember all you had to do was complete the next two lines of the following:-
"The running track is red,
Your club vest is blue..."
For example, "The running track is red, your club vest is blue, and my heart starts pounding when I turn up and see you."
This, of course, is a variation on the poem beginning with "roses are red, violets are blue."
I got a reasonable amount of entries for this and every one, I must say, was pretty good. I can genuinely confirm picking a winner was extremely difficult.
Euan McMurtrie and Laura McCord receive full marks for tenacity, submitting 5 entries between them. However, after much thought, it's congratulations to Ashley Totten who wins a £25 gift voucher to spend in East Kilbride village's Athelite running store for this effort.

and get down and tie my shoe,
then i might give a pound or two to you
when i see you running in blue"
My thanks go to the Whitemoss committee for allowing me to purchase the prize from club funds and to the staff at Athelite for providing the voucher.
